About Me

My name is Kelsey Connors and I am lucky enough to be the new first grade teacher here at Villa Academy.

I went to college at Humboldt State University in Northern California.  I was fortunate enough to the have the opportunity to play college soccer and loved every minute of it.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Education and my Washington State teaching credential.

My wonderful husband Sean works at Washington Rush.  We have two wonderful but rambunctious dogs that we love very much!

This is Romper. He is a chihuahua terrier mix.

I have a two year old son named John and a 4 month old daughter named Emma!IMG_2543

Teaching is my passion.  This will be my 8th year teaching and first 4th at Villa Academy.  Before coming to Villa I taught 3rd grade for 3 years at St. Catherine School and also gave PE a try in my first year teaching!

I come from a family of teachers.  My mom was a preschool teacher, my sister Lindsay Kapek teaches 6-8th grade math here at Villa, and my younger Whitney Compton is one of our Kindergarten teachers!  It is in our blood.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach first grade this year and I am looking forward to the wonderful journey that lies ahead of us.
